Directions

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and ground beef. Cook until beef is browned and onions are softened.

Add red and green bell peppers to the pot. Cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until peppers are slightly tender.

Stir in tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes to enhance the flavors.

Pour in Black Box Merlot to deglaze the pot, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.

Add diced tomatoes, black beans, chili powder, smoked paprika, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Pour in beef broth to achieve the desired consistency. Bring the chili to a simmer, then reduce heat and let it cook for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Simmer for up to two hours for the best flavor.
