Directions

  1.  Gather all ingredients
  2. In large stock pot, brown sausage, ground beef, and ground top round on medium high.   Stir frequently and work to integrate meat together.  Once evenly browned, drain of all excess grease.
  3. Pour in all chili beans, diced tomatoes, stew tomatoes and tomato paste.   Add all remaining ingredients and stir to blend.  Cover and simmer for 2 hours.  The longer it simmers, the more flavor it develops.  If you remove the cover and it’s too soupy, let simmer uncovered for additional 15-30 minutes.
  4. Taste chili, add more salt, pepper, and chili powder if necessary.  Remove from heat and serve.   Consider condiments of cheese, sour cream, and corn chips.
