Ohio Chili Against the World

"The “Ohio Against the World Chili” recipe is one that I have cooked for friends and family all over the United States and time and time again it is delivers. It combines thoughtful fresh ingredients as well as an unexpected but welcoming splash of flavor. It is easy to make and can be repurposed for days for meals such as chili dogs, chili potatoes, and chili fries. Ground beef (or Turkey) 1-2 lbs, As much as you’d like for topping, As much as you’d like for topping, As much as you’d like for topping, 1 lb box, To taste, To taste, 2 tsp, 1, 1, 3, 2 cans, 1 can, 1 can, I jar, 2/3 of the big bottle, 1 tsp, 1 packet
Sour cream
3 blend cheese
Elbow macaroni
Chili powder
White onion
Green pepper
Celery stalks
Diced chili ready tomatoes
Kidney beans
Mixed chili beans
Mild chunky salsa
Tomato juice
Chili mix


1-2 lbs of ground turkey or ground beef (season with a little salt, pepper, to taste and 2 tsps chili powder while browning.

Sauté 1 chopped onion and 1 chopped green pepper, 3 celery stalks (season with a little salt and pepper to taste while sautéing)

Add ground meat and veggies to large pot and add 2 cans diced chili ready tomatoes, 1 small jar of chunky salsa, 1 can of kidney beans, and 1 can of mixed chili beans and as 2/3 bottle of tomato juice, a teaspoon of sugar to cut the tomato acidity and add package of chili mix. 
Simmer on between low-medium for about 30-40 minutes (everything is already cooked, so just getting the seasoning through and hot)

While chili cooking boil water and cook macaroni according to package directions. 

Place cooked macaroni on the bottom and to chili with fresh cilantro, sour cream, and 3 blend cheese to one’s liking.
