My Mothers Quiche

"This quiche is always a show stopper when I serve it. I can not remember a time that my mom didn't make it. Its beautiful and smells wonderful. It can easily be modified to be gluten free by using a rice crust or vegetarian. No matter what ingredients you use you friends and family will praise your ability."

Store bought or box, or scratch Pie crust 1, 1/2 cup, 1/2 cup, 1/2, 1 TBS, 1 lbs, 1 lbs, 3, 1/4 tsp, 1/4 cup
Half and Half
Medium onion finely chopped (optional)
Corn Starch
Bacon cooked crisp and chopped
Swiss Cheese shredded or chopped
Eggs well beaten
Black pepper
Cheddar cheese shredded


  1. Lay prepared crust in a quiche or deep dish pie pan.
  2. Layer bacon on pie crust
  3. Mix all ingredients except cheddar cheese in a large mixing bowl.   
  4. Pour over bacon.
  5. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.

Bake 400 degrees for 60 minutes or until golden brown and firm in center.  Cool 10 minutes before serving.

Optional add-in ingredients:

Spinach, mushrooms, broccoli, asparagus.
