German Chili

"I call this my Mama’s chili because she used to make this on cold days and my dad would complain about how spicy it is, so she changed it up to make it just a tad spicy, but not too much. I’m not a very good cook, but there are a few dishes I can make really well and this is one of my favorites!"

Ingredients

Beef 1 LB, half a stalk, 1, half a clove, 3, 2 cups, to taste, to taste, 1 tbsp, 1 tbsp, to taste, 1 cup, to taste & garnish
celery
red onion
garlic
tomatoes
kidney beans
salt
pepper
chili powder
nutmeg
steak salt
mixed cheese
parmesan cheese

Directions

Cut up the tomatoes, celery and onions. Put everything in the slow cooker and stir every 30 minutes. Cook for 5 hours or longer, depending on the taste. Season with more nutmeg or chili and steak salt. At the end of the 5 hours or 30 minutes before serving, add mixed cheese and sprinkle parmesan cheese on top after serving.

Serve with bread or over rice (whatever the picky eaters prefer that day!)
