tomato sauce
kidney beans
pinto beans
diced onion
diced green chili
diced celery
tomatoes chopped
green pepper
yellow pepper
cumin powder
chili powder
black pepper
salt
water

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain off the excess fat.
  2. Transfer the browned beef into a large pot.
  3. Add the tomato sauce, kidney beans, pinto beans, diced onion, diced green chili, diced celery, and chopped tomatoes,green and red peppers  to the pot.
  4. Season the mixture with cumin powder, chili powder, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Pour in 2 cups of water and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  6. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Simmer for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  7. Adjust the seasoning to taste before serving.
  8. Enjoy your Chili with your choice of toppings like cheese, sour cream, or green onions.
