Easy Lean Turkey, Beef and Bean Chili

Directions

On medium heat, brown turkey and beef together in a deep pan. Drain fat from pan and transfer cooked meat to a bowl.

In same cooking pan, add 2 TBSP olive oil. Sauté onion and garlic until transparent (2-3 mins). Turn burner to lowest setting.

Add cooked meat back to pan with onion and garlic. Add salt and pepper. Stir. 

Add all remaining ingredients to the pan mixture and stir well.

Bring chili mixture to a gentle boil, stirring every few minutes. Place pan lid ajar (to allow steam to escape and prevent mixture from bubbling over).

Turn heat down to lowest setting and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.

Serve hot with beer bread.
