Easy Chili with Cheese

ancho chili powder
ground black pepper
salt
IPA beer
brown sugar
garlic powder
green chilies
chunky salsa
pinto beans (Drain)
sour cream
sliced green onion
sliced jalapeno
shredded cheddar cheese
favorite hot sauces

Directions

Steps

  1. Add beef to a cook pot. Set to high heat. Break up beef into smaller chucks and continue to cook until no longer pink, approximately 7 minutes.
  2. Add chili powder, black pepper and salt to the pot. Stirring, for 1 minute, then pour in beers.
  3. Stir. Let boil until liquid is reduced by about half, approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add sugar, garlic powder, chilies and salsa. Stir. Return to a simmer. 
  5. Mix in beans. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir occasionally, until chili is thick and flavor is developed to your liking. About 2 hours. 
  6. Taste. Season. Top with sour cream, green onions, cheddar cheese, hot sauce, etc.
