Dannie Cade’s Homemade Chili

"The interesting thing about Dannie Cade's Homemade Chili is not only is it perfect for cold rainy/winter days here in Dallas,Texas which is where I'm from 🥰 but there are also some secret ingredients that one wouldn't think about adding into chili. I'll go ahead and fill you in on ingredients which is just a dash of cocoa powder and that good old-fashioned Quaker Oats which makes the chili thick. I learned the Quaker Oats trick from fiance when he was making sloppy joes and he threw in a handful or two 🥰"

Ingredients

IngredientQuantity
Sweet paprika, cocoa powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, onion powder, oregano, and cumin Add a tablespoon of each ingredient but you are also welcome to add more depending on the taste to your liking, Add one can of each ingredient
Red kidney beans, pinto beans, black beans, and corn

Directions

Brown the ground beef, onion and garlic powder along with the chili powder together once it’s browned and cooked drain the fat. Once that is complete you may go ahead and proceed to dumping that into the crock pot along with all the canned good ingredients. Again one of my secret ingredients is Quaker Oats old fashioned oats but that’s only if you wish to make your chili thicker. You will let this cook 6 to 8 hours on low inside your crock pot an hour before it is due to be finished you can then Dress It Up with baking some cornbread or cornbread muffins. Now it’s time to serve 🤤 get you a bowl I usually take some cornbread crumble it into the bowl and then pour a couple of scoops of chili on top I did add a lot of shredded cheese and a huge dollop of sour cream. Bon appetit, time to enjoy 😉Â
